Flying Balance Wheel

Flying Balance Wheel

By enlarging mechanisms such as the Flying Balance Wheel sculpture, Jan Borren wants to make visible the beauty and rhythm that are usually too minimal to experience in the same way.

Handcrafted escapement designs, with their unique look and mesmerizing movement, are a great addition to the enthusiast’s home or office.

The Flying Balance Wheel has a power reserve of two hours and can be wound with a key.

Shipping will start mid-December

Jan Borren

Jan Borren was born in Amsterdam in 1994 and has lived there his entire life. His attention has been pulled in many different directions since he was young - from taking things apart, snails, bones, fossils, wheel caps, lighters, graffiti, the handpan and watches, his obsessions are numerous!
As he grew older, his interests took a more serious turn.
